Beauty Babble #62 Gracie Red Wine

I’m so excited about today’s #beautybabble with Gracie @graciecarroll  I’ve been following her for a while and I absolutely love her website @editseven which you should go check out.

Gracie gives us the scoop on her #beauty favorites and more!

Babble time!

BB: Tell me, what are your all-time favorite beauty products for face, body, and hair?

G: OMG this is SUCH a hard question! I’m very lucky to receive amazing beauty products all the time thanks to what I do, but there are definitely some brands that always seem to stay in my rotation, and I always stock up on when I’m running low.

Hair: Naturally my hair is quite wavy and it can tend to get dry very easily which is common for wavy and curly hair types. I have been using Kevin Murphy hair products for YEARS and swear by them. I love that they’re made with natural ingredients but they actually PERFORM like pro products and make your hair look and feel amazing. The Hydrate-Me.Wash and Hydrate-Me rinse are my go-tos for shampoo and conditioner. Since I wear my hair up in a top knot a lot (because it’s always a mess from working out) I use the Easy Rider anti-frizz creme to keep my flyaways as smooth as possible.

Body: I’ve recently rediscovered the joy of great bar soap after years of being a hardcore body wash user. There’s a local Canadian company called The Perth Soap Co. that makes the most luxurious soaps that not only smell divine but don’t dry out my skin. Personally, I LOVE the smell of their Moroccan Spice soap but their Milk & Honey and Sparkling Champagne cleansing bars are also favorites. These soaps are also beautifully packaged and make fabulous gifts.

Face: This is a tough one since I’m always testing out different skincare products. Some of the brands that are always a go-to for me include Tata Harper, Caudalie, and (most recently) GOOP products. And, honestly, when I’m looking for something wallet-friendly I swear by AVEENO products (for both face and body) and I have since I was a teenager. I don’t wear a ton of makeup but I do always rely on a great lipstick; BITE Beauty products are my favorite because they’re made in Toronto (where I’m from!) using natural ingredients but perform so well you’d never guess it was a “natural beauty” product.

BB: I love your choices! When you get the chance to be alone, what is your favorite thing to do for self-care?

G: Oh man, I love a hot shower or bath (especially if I’m in a luxe hotel because my tub sucks) followed by wrapping myself up in a big robe, slathering on a face mask (or two), getting into bed with my robe and mask on with a glass of red wine in hand and indulging in many hours of trashy reality TV (preferably housewives). If this applies to be outside of my house or a hotel, I definitely LOVE going for a facial or a massage at an amazing spa.

BB: Noting like a comfy robe and facemask 🙂 Here’s the third and trickiest question: If you were a food or drink what would you be?
G: Hmmm I would probably be a glass of strong, dry red wine.

Thank you so much, Gracie, for answering the Beauty Babble questions and supporting A Beauty Blob. I can’t wait to see more from you and Edit Seven.
