Today’s exciting #beautybabble is with Lauren! She’s someone I’ve been following for a while, and you should too. Follow her @thelaurenhackney for some inspiring wellness content and beauty food recipes.

I’m so excited for her to share her beauty faves and much more!

Here we go!

BB: Tell me, what are your all-time favorite beauty products for face, body, and hair?

L: Face: NYDG Oatmeal Cleanser: It’s creamy and calming with a hint of lactic acid to gently exfoliate.

Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator: I live for a hydrating mist, and keep it in all of my bags! It’s a blend of calming ingredients like evening primrose, marula and a quick refresh on the go!

Wedderspoon Manuka Honey: I swear by it! I make a DIY face mask with other superfoods like spirulina, CBD oil, and medicinal mushrooms. I also keep a jar in the kitchen (it’s the best for treating burns).

Henne Lip Exfoliator: Lips can be tricky. This exfoliant is gentle and keeps lips hydrated!

Susanne Kaufmann Hand Peel and Detox Scrub: they are both great exfoliating products and super hydrating!

NYDG Skincare Chem-free SPF 30: It’s often hard to find Zinc SPF that will blend in and not leave you chalky and purple. This SPF has Argan Oil it in which is hydrating but also allows the SPF to soak right in!

Susanne Kaufmann: Incense Lotion to ease sore muscles. I like to apply this to my neck to alleviate tension!

I have thick hair and have tried more products than I should confess. The one thing I swear by and have seen a difference in texture, dry scalp and hair strength is Shea Terra Organics Hair Mask. It is the most amazing blend of Castor, Carrot and Rosemary Oil. For years I was treating my hair but realized it is the scalp that needs nourishment. I apply the hair mask 2x a week, leave it in for 30 minutes, massage it in myself and then double shampoo with Shea Terra Black Soap and Evolvh Shine Shampoo.

BB: Amazing selection of products! When you get the chance to be alone, what is your favorite thing to do for self-care?

L: I actually try to incorporate self-care every day but my favorite when alone is to make a face mask and sip on homemade tea. I love experimenting with fresh ingredients and superfoods!

BB: I know, I absolutely love your mask ideas! Here’s the third and trickiest question: If you were a food or drink what would you be?
L: So tricky! I love so many superfoods! If I have to choose one, it would be a mushroom! Mushrooms are beautiful, oyster mushrooms in particular! They are elegant and healing!

Great food choice! Thank you so much, Lauren, for answering these questions and supporting a beauty blob! I look forward to more of your unique and helpful beauty recipes.
