Beauty Babble #25 Charlotte Whiskey

Today’s #beautybabble is someone I’ve been following for a while and absolutely love her account which has great #skincare product pics and reviews! Did I mention she’s also a ballerina?! Follow Charlotte @thebeautyballerina.

Let’s plie right into it!

(pun intended lol)

BB: Tell me, what are your all-time favorite beauty products for face, body, and hair?

C: All time favorite, that’s a tough one! Let me think. I’d have to say my face choice would have to be anything with AHAs. Does that count?! I really think AHAs saved my skin. I’ve always had problematic skin. I had to go on Accutane in middle school after trying many other less intense options. It was not a good time. As I’ve had the time to really dive into skincare, AHAs have been the biggest revelation to me. Can’t live without them!

As for hair, my repertoire is not as diverse; however, I’ve just recently gotten into trying Verb’s products. Their Ghost Oil is quickly becoming a favorite. One pump leaves my hair smooth and shiny. Plus it stays that way. And the price is great. Total fan.

My all-time favorite body product would have to be, anything with AHAs. I, like many people, have keratosis pilaris on the backs of my arms and on my legs. I’m particularly liking application in pad form. Super convenient!

BB: I very much relate to the acne medication route and yes AHAs have done me some serious skin saving! When you get the chance to be alone, what is your favorite thing to do for self-care?

C: My favorite thing to do for self-care is to take a nap! Because I’m a dance teacher, I have a funny schedule. I wake up early like the rest of the world to teach an early dance class to university students at 8 or 9 am. Then I run to the gym and come home. Once all the school-aged kids are done with school, I head to the local studio where I teach at to teach for another 4-5 hours where I usually don’t get home until about 9 pm most days. Plus, I work a full day of rehearsals and class on Saturdays. Naps are absolutely crucial to make it relatively stress-free through the day!

BB: Wow! You are one busy ballerina! Naps are crucial to being a happy adult.

Here’s the third and trickiest question: If you were a food or drink what would you be?

C: I’d have to say I’d be a nice Islay whiskey (Scotch) on the rocks. My dad always said I don’t suffer fools gladly. Islay whiskey is no-nonsense. I like to think I’m the same way.

Another whiskey–I love it! Thank you Charlotte for all your support and being a part of Beauty Babble.
