Beauty Babble #14 Single Malt Scotch

This week’s #beautybabble is @shorthairskincare, follow her for all things skincare. She takes amazing photos of what she uses on her face. But what I really love is the beauty knowledge she drops in her insta stories and ig page. I learn so much from her and I’m super stoked to have her dish on beauty in the questions below!

BB: Tell me, what are your all-time favorite beauty products for face, body, and hair?

SH: Face: You can’t just give a girl a broad category like that and ask her to name a favorite. Are we talking serums? Exfoliants? Actives? Sleeping packs? What condition am I treating? What season is it? Nighttime? Daytime? THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS!

I guess I’ll answer with the only product I’ve ever repurchased: Herbivore Lapis Oil. It’s great for acne, redness, and sensitivity absorbs like a dream and smells like blue tansy heaven.

Body: Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream. I never have the patience to apply body lotion, but this is so worth it. It smells like a beach vacation and I literally cannot stop sniffing my arm whenever I use it. It’s so lovely that I don’t even wear perfume when I use it.

Hair: Uberliss Bond Sustainer is a deep conditioning hair treatment that strengthens damaged hair. They also have various tinted versions that act as semi-permanent colors. I alternate between the original and the Platinum Jasmine versions, which is a conditioning toner that combat brassiness in blondes.

BB: Haha your right! The answers can be endless but I’m loving the products you’ve mentioned! When you get the chance to be alone, what is your favorite thing to do for self-care?

SH: I live alone, so every night is a self-care night. My favorite thing to do is a ridiculously long skincare-routine. We’re talking multiple masks, a bunch of different tools, one million serums, and lots of layers. I like to do at least one extra-long routine per week. Who needs a social life, anyway?

BB: A girl after my own heart! I think I’d do the same if I didn’t have roommates! Here’s the third and trickiest question: If you were a food or drink what would you be?

SH: Single malt scotch. I’m an acquired taste, but if you’re a masochist, you’ll love me.

I love your answers and appreciate the time and information you’ve shared. Thank you so much for being a part of the Beauty Babble Interview series!
